Carlisle County Basketball 2009-2010

The comets have been preparing for their first scrimmage this Thursday. They play Martin Westview and should be a good test for the Comets. Remember that Maroon and Gold night is November 20. Also the basketball team is selling BBQ chicken, Boston Butts, and sauce as a fundraiser. If you would like to purchase one talk to a boy basketball player as soon as possible.

The comets are continuing to get better and working hard everyday at practice. We scrimmaged a little yesterday and it went pretty good. The main focus at practice is to get in better shape and go hard, because when the season starts we have to be in the best shape of our lives. We have a few scrimmages coming up to that we are preparing for.

Carlisle County Basketball 2009-2010

The comets wrapped up conditioning Wednesday and prepared for practice on Thursday. The first day of practice is very intense and hard. We started out practice with a team meeting to make sure everyone was on the same page. Then we went through all the hard drills, working as hard as we could. Practice to me is harder than conditioning because it is so upbeat. This year our main focus is to work hard to make ourselves better and work hard to make each other better. We want to have a successful season and play as a team. We will start having practice every day after school from here till the end of the season. In the next blog I will give you some dates for the first upcoming games.
